The Memphis Grizzlies won six of their first 25 games without Ja Morant this season.
They’ve already matched one-third of that win total in two games since he came back.
Taylor Jenkins’ team is back to the place it should’ve always been, and it didn’t take long before Ja proved just why he’s so special.
Winners of two in as many games, the Grizzlies are a legitimate threat again.
When asked about the two-game winning streak, the former No. 2 pick was true to form as per usual, stating that they’re just back to having fun (via Yahoo Sports and Ball Don’t Lie).

Having fun indeed.
On top of Morant’s suspension, the Grizzlies have dealt with a string of injuries.
They had lost three starters in comparison to last year’s team, as Dillon Brooks left in free agency to sign with the Houston Rockets, Steven Adams suffered a season-ending injury, and Morant had to serve this suspension.
That’s why it wasn’t a surprise to see them struggle so badly to start the season, especially considering that both Derrick Rose and Marcus Smart also dealt with injuries and were unable to help them carry the load while Morant was waiting to make his long-awaited comeback.
One can only hope that Morant has learned his lesson and will finally put basketball first and foremost.
He’ll have plenty of time to enjoy himself in the future.
