The Memphis Grizzlies have made the playoffs for the past three seasons.
They have found success with their young core, but things haven’t gone their way this year in the win/loss column.
Their 7-19 record has them tied for the second-worst record in the Western Conference.
While this might seem discouraging on paper, the Grizzlies have been without their star player, Ja Morant, who was serving time for his suspension from the league.
After a long-awaited hiatus, Morant made his season debut against the New Orleans Pelicans and did not disappoint.
Morant’s performance caught the attention of many players across the league, including LeBron James, who appeared excited to see Morant’s return based on his recent tweet.

While the details of Morant’s suspension have caused some players and fans to write him off, James has not.
He recognizes the greatness that Morant can bring to a team, and as his tweet dictates, having him on the court is a good thing.
Morant finished his first game back with 34 points, eight assists, and six rebounds.
Some players might have an off night when they have been away from league action as long as Morant has, but he seemed to perform like he never left.
He also finished the game with a buzzer-beater, helping the Grizzlies take down the Pelicans.
With Morant back on this team with two-thirds of the season left to go, fans have just one question.
Can he help bring the Grizzlies back into playoff contention, knowing the stretch of wins this team will need to pull off?
