It looked as if Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets had his mind focused on something else Tuesday night when playing against the Chicago Bulls.
After a long day of huge headlines and heated controversy, Irving suited up to lead his team to a much-needed victory.
Instead, the Nets lost – again – and Irving didn’t perform nearly as well as he wanted to.

In the first half of the game, Irving scored 0 points and went 0-of-3 from the field.
His scoreless 13 minutes were remarkable because Irving hasn’t had a scoreless first half since October 2018.
When the final buzzer blew, Irving has only scored 4 points.
This was not a good night for Irving or the team he’s supposed to lead.
Broken Brooklyn
It sounds like Ime Udoka will be the next head coach for the Brooklyn Nets.
He better strap in because he is signing up for an awfully complicated job.
It’s not often to see Irving perform so poorly and it’s troubling to see the whole team fall apart as he did.
Kevin Durant tried his hardest and put up a valiant 32 points, while Royce O’Neale scored 20 and Nic Claxton and Yuta Watanabe notched 10.
But all of that hard work couldn’t fill the void left by Irving.
Irving’s off night left Durant essentially alone again, especially since Ben Simmons is out.
To fans, it looked like the Nets team that struggled last year, with Durant pouring his heart out on the court and the other guys trying their hardest but falling short.
This team needs Durant but it needs Durant with Irving and Tuesday night was a clear example of that.
However, the team has been losing even with Irving performing well on some nights.
See, Udoka really will have a tough time in his new job.
