Today marks the end of Kevin Durant‘s controversial and short-lived quest to leave the Brooklyn Nets.
It was recently announced that Durant is now staying with the Nets and will give it another go with the team.
For weeks now, people have been wondering what the Nets would look like on opening day in just a couple of months.
Now we know who will be playing for Brooklyn and we also know who they will be playing against.

The Nets are set to face off against the New Orleans Pelicans on opening day.
That means we will see a newly-energized Durant battle against a healthy Zion Williamson.
Both teams will once again have their best stars on the floor and may have their greatest seasons yet.
Two Titans
People were already excited for this game before Durant said he would return to the Nets.
That’s because nearly every NBA fan is eager to see Williamson back on the court after more than a year away.
He has been looking fit and healthy and ready.
This could lead to such an incredible season for the already-impressive Pelicans squad.
However, now that Williamson will be playing against Durant, tickets for this thing are sure to sell out.
Oddly enough, this will not be a nationally televised game.
When the NBA schedule was written, the Nets were given less airtime on the networks because of the question marks floating around Durant.
Well, Durant will return to Brooklyn but some of the damage to the team has already been done.
So while fans of the team will get their star player back, it’ll be harder to see him – even when he’s playing against other superstars like Williamson.
