The Memphis Grizzlies are really missing Ja Morant right now.
Of course, they are always missing him when he’s gone because he’s such a dominant and powerful player.
However, he has missed many games this season and the team actually survived just fine without him, going 20-5 during his various absences.
That certainly hasn’t been the case lately.

The Golden State Warriors took the Grizzlies down on Monday night in a heartbreaking 101-98 loss, which was the fourth straight one without Morant.
All season long, people were celebrating how Memphis is able to get by without Morant leading the charge.
For whatever reason, that is no longer true and it’s got the team on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs.
Missing Morant
Fans of the Grizzlies are surely very upset with Jordan Poole of the Warriors right now.
He briefly grabbed hold of Morant’s knee during Game 3, which Memphis says led to the injury that now has the star player on the sidelines.
At this point in this series, every single player is needed.
All season long, Morant has been a monster with an average of 21.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 7.1 assists.
During these playoffs, he’s also been incredible with 27.1 points, 8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists.
Usually, his team is able to fill the voids left by Morant but they haven’t been the same without him lately.
There are many great players on the Grizzlies but every team needs a centerpiece, a lynchpin that holds it all together.
That’s Morant and the team became used to that in the latter part of the season, especially as the playoffs began.
They are now down 3-1 so it’ll be nearly impossible to rebound and come back.
It’ll be even harder without Morant on their side.
