It’s safe to say that Mike Shanahan knows a thing or two about football and the NFL.
His son, Kyle, has done an outstanding job in charge of the San Francisco 49ers, and he’s known for being one of the best offensive minds in the game.
That’s why most people would listen when these two talk about an offensive player being good, and they both love what they saw from Brock Purdy.
Former Super Bowl champion Bill Romanowski recently revealed on 95.7 The Game’s The Morning Roast that he actually reached out to Mike Shanahan to ask his thoughts on Purdy.
"I talked to Mike Shanahan about him. And you know I said, 'Mike, what what is it about him?' He said, 'Bill, the first practice I laid eyes on him, I saw it in him.'"@billromanowski on Brock Purdy

Apparently, the legendary coach told him that it only took one practice before he realized that he was a special kind of talent.
Purdy has been heavily scrutinized and criticized this season, being called a system quarterback and a game-manager.
He might not be the most physically imposing quarterback in the game, but he’s way more than that.
Granted that the Niners lost three games in a row without Deebo Samuel, but one of those games was due to a missed field goal, and Purdy was clearly concussed in their other losses.
Purdy was able to do what neither Trey Lance nor Jimmy Garoppolo could.
He’s earned every right to be the team’s starter, and while some might think he’s not what the team needs to get over the hump and win another Super Bowl once and for all, his coach has the utmost confidence in him, and that could take a young player a long way.
