The NBA continues to leave veterans out.
Some players have earned a reputation for being a distraction in the locker room or tough to coach, and they can’t seem to get another chance to prove their worth in the league.
That’s why former All-Star DeMarcus Cousins had no choice but to sign a deal to play in Taiwan, following Dwight Howard’s steps.
With that in mind, Howard took to Twitter to wish him well in this new endeavor, stating that they will both be back in the NBA soon.
@boogiecousins enjoy your time in Taiwan 💪🏾 we’ll be back in the league soon

Truth be told, this seems quite unlikely at this point, especially for Howard, who was pretty close to signing a deal with the Golden State Warriors in the offseason before the team backpedaled.
And with all the scandals around him, perhaps teams won’t want all that extra attention right now.
As for Cousins, he’s proven to be one of the most talented scoring big men there is, and he’s still in elite physical shape.
However, he had a bit of a tough reputation from his prime days, as he’s always had a hard-nosed character and isn’t one to mince his words when things don’t go his way.
Whatever the case, it’s kind of sad to see that two of the best big men of their generation — and even of all time — won’t even get the chance to retire playing at the highest level.
Hopefully, they’ll get another opportunity, at least to sign a ten-day contract while they can still contribute.
