Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is in plenty of hot water after he posted an Instagram live video of him toting a gun at a nightclub.
He will miss at least the team’s next two games, and his reputation, which had been strong, has seemingly taken a hit.
Former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins took to Twitter to suggest that perhaps the incident wouldn’t have happened if the Grizzlies have had more veterans on their team.
Hope this shows the importance of REAL VETS in the locker room. No young team should be without multiple veterans on the roster.

Fans may look at Morant differently now after his incident, but there’s no doubt he’s one of the NBA’s best and most explosive players.
He’s averaging 27.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game, and he has elevated Memphis to second place in the Western Conference with a 38-24 record.
The team has made itself into a contender ever since last season when it went 56-26 and finished second in the West, but there are doubts as to whether it’s ready to win big games come playoff time.
It has one of the youngest rosters in the NBA and very few veterans, and it also happens to be a chippy group of guys.
Forward Dillon Brooks has been accused of being a dirty player after a few incidents that resulted in him being ejected after being assessed flagrant 2 fouls.
Cousins himself battled a reputation for being immature and hard to coach for years, but he was also one of the league’s best big men until he tore his Achilles.
He is currently rumored to be looking to make his way back into the league.
