For the eighth consecutive season, the Blazers are in the playoffs.
They have been a top team in the Western Conference for so long, but one thing has escaped them.
That is a NBA championship.
The Blazers organization has tried their best to construct a winning team, but it has not worked out in their favor.
Losing in the playoffs every season has to be tough on a team, but the Blazers come back each season fighting.
They have had to face off against generational players and teams.
Luck has never been in their favor.
The Blazers’ core have been together for some time now, but when will it be over?
Can they ultimately win a title with the core they have together now?
Or is it time to blow up if they lose once again?
Yes, They Just Need A Few Major Breaks
The Blazers seem like they can’t catch a break.
They have had tough battles for several years, but no Finals appearances.
There has only been one appearance in the Conference Finals.
In most cases, you would think this team is not good enough.
However, the argument can be made that it is not their fault that they are not in a big market.
Teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors have had the luxury to acquire great players with ease.
Kevin Durant joined a team with the Warriors that just went 73-9.
LeBron James went to the Lakers after they struggled for years.
Anthony Davis joined LeBron the following year.
The Blazers have not been able to lure big names to their franchise.
They have to keep a core of winning guys because if they lose them then it is back to mediocrity.
It is great that they are competing.
Nobody can predict the future.
There can be a few breaks even this season that brings the Blazers to a Finals run.
No, It Is Time To Breakup
The Blazers simply cannot win a title with this current roster.
They are very good, but they will not be able to beat a team like the Lakers or Phoenix Suns in a seven-game series.
Damian Lillard has been a phenomenal players for the franchise, but it seems like he is the only great player on this team.
🔥 @Dame_Lillard went off for 42 PTS, 10 AST, 9 3PM in Game 2.

CJ McCollum is a very talented scorer, but he is not the second-best player on a championship team.
They need another All-Star to help Dame.
Jusuf Nurkic is constantly injured and is getting paid big money.
The core is very solid, but to win a championship you need to be great.
They are the scrappy underdogs that can win a first-round series and make it tough for an elite team.
However, that is as far as it would get for this core.
It is time to end it and start fresh.
They must find Lillard some new help and try to find an All-Star to pair with him.
The Blazers need to blow up the core for a better future.

what I think is the scouting for players and keeping anything that’s been built together long enough to gel is a huge problem and has been for almost as long as they have existed.i love the trailblazers and it think the problem is how they manage starting from the top to bottom and its like nearly took all my excitement for the game away.
