There are many questions swirling around the Brooklyn Nets as the NBA season quickly approaches.
How will Kevin Durant look now that he’s officially back with the team?
What about Kyrie Irving: will he perform better than ever and be free of controversy?
Another major question about the team regards Ben Simmons, the guard who was signed to the franchise midseason last year but has yet to play a game.
In fact, he hasn’t played a professional basketball game in over a year and it has many people wondering what he will bring to the Nets.

He could bring an awful lot.
For his four years in the league, Simmons has averaged 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
Those are impressive numbers and show that, even with all his issues, Simmons is still a great player.
Will he be great again?
Sleeping On Simmons
The last time we saw Simmons play in the NBA, it seemed like all the fans in the world were against him.
He fell apart in the postseason with his Philadelphia 76ers and it was tough to watch.
Then he refused to play for the team when the new year began, citing mental health issues.
Simmons sat on the bench for months until he was moved to Brooklyn…where he continued to sit on the bench.
You can understand why some people are a bit fed up with the young Australian All-Star.
But Simmons does have skill and talent, there is no denying that.
There are more than a few people who aren’t expecting much from the player and that’s probably best for him because he can easily exceed expectations when he finally does play again.
Could he provide what the Nets have been missing?
