Ben Simmons of the Brooklyn Nets has been warming up in the preseason, preparing for what could be a huge comeback season for him.
He got off to something of a rough start and he’s been ridiculed on social media often (what else is new?) but Simmons has seemingly come together as the preseason comes to a close.

He has averaged 5.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game for his team during the preseason.
Of course, since these are preseason stats, they have all been achieved during limited minutes too.
It’s a small sample size but Simmons is looking quite good right now just days before the 2022-23 season kicks off.
Whispers throughout the NBA are saying the same thing: is Simmons back?
Simmons The Star
Simmons’ numbers have been pretty stellar in the preseason but we don’t know if they will continue to stay strong in the regular season.
The rest of the teams will be tougher starting next week as the best players in the league get many more minutes and the games actually mean something and affect win-loss records.
But if Simmons keeps this up, he will be silencing the legion of haters who have harped on him for more than a year now.
Simmons has been playing smart and perhaps that’s what is most exciting about him.
He has been paying attention, reading the floor, and listening to his teammates a lot.
He hasn’t been simply trying to dunk the ball or make shots he knows he can’t land.
Instead, he is trying to play the smartest basketball possible and that is greatly helping his team.
The season is long and a lot can change but, right now, Simmons is looking like an All-Star again.
