Trevor Lawrence has been having a breakout sophomore season.
After being drafted first overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, expectations were high for Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
His first season in the NFL was seen as a dud by many, but, judging by his NFL-wide honor this week, many members of sports media and fans alike are recognizing Lawrence’s greatness this season.
We’re not surprised.

Lawrence is the 2022 Week 14 AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
This is the second time that Lawrence has won this award, as the first was in Week 3 of this season.
In the Jaguars’ 36-22 rout of the Tennessee Titans this week, Lawrence put together a masterful performance.
His stat line was one of the best of his young career, going 30/42, and throwing for 368 yards and three touchdowns.
This is a definite positive for Lawrence, as he is making strides in the right direction.
What’s Next For Lawrence and The Jaguars?
When looking ahead, the Jaguars will face the Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, Houston Texans, and Tennessee Titans to close out their season.
They currently have a 5-8 record, just two games behind the Titans for the AFC South race.
The Jaguars still have an outside chance at the playoffs, especially if they can win the rest of their games this season.
Facing off against the Titans in the final game of the year could feel like a playoff game for these Jaguars, considering that this could be the game to decide what team makes the playoffs.
Even if the Jaguars don’t make the playoffs, they can hang their heads high going into 2023, knowing that Lawrence is their quarterback.
