The Jacksonville Jaguars entered the 2023 NFL Season with much hope and expectations.
After all, they were coming off a playoff berth and win in 2022, which said a lot, considering how poorly their 2021 season went.
Despite riding this high, however, the Jaguars took a slight decline in production, resulting in them missing the playoffs.
This might bring some teams down, but it seems to light a fire underneath the Jaguars’ belly, as Doug Pederson explained in a conversation with Sirius XM NFL Radio.
Pederson is excited to see what Trevor Lawrence can do in 2024, saying, “He’s a tremendous player… His work ethic, which, for us, is second to none.”

Pederson believes in Lawrence’s ability to lead this team, which should start the Jaguars on the right foot to start the 2024 season.
Lawrence entered the NFL as one of the most highly touted quarterback prospects in several seasons.
Some called him the best prospect since Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning, which was high praise given the track record of both players.
He has started becoming his own as an NFL quarterback, which is a big reason for Pederson’s excitement.
While there is excitement about Lawrence and what he can do with this team in the new year, there have been a few questions from fans throughout the offseason.
The most pressing issue is his potential pass-catchers, as Calvin Ridley is out the door, giving Lawrence one less viable target to throw to every game.
If Lawrence finds a way to succeed without Ridley on the roster, the Jaguars’ offense could be a lot scarier than they are given credit for.
