It was a tumultuous season for the Baltimore Orioles.
On the heels of a 110-loss season in 2021, not much was expected in Birdland.
But out of nowhere, they emerged as a postseason contender again for the first time since 2016.
While ultimately the O’s fell short, their season certainly isn’t one to be discouraged over, especially when you consider where they were a season ago.
This year, they finished with an 83-79 record and were just three games back of the final AL Wild Card spot.
On Twitter, the Orioles shared a heartfelt video, thanking their fans for their support all season long.

Orioles Thank Fans
Baseball sure is a crazy game.
When you think you’ve got it figured out, the unexpected happens.
Such was the case in Baltimore this year.
Nobody was expecting anything out of the Orioles in 2022.
But instead of a repeat performance of 2021, the O’s found their way back into the mix and won 83 games, falling just three short of the postseason.
Now, there’s some hope for 2023 and beyond.
Things are slowly, but surely, looking a little better in Birdland, and before long, the City of Baltimore may see some postseason baseball.
They were in it until the very end this year, which is far beyond what anybody could have expected, even among Orioles fans.
And when the team started winning again, fans began to pack Camden Yards in hopes of seeing the Orioles make a return to October baseball.
It ultimately didn’t end the way they wanted it to, but there is hope for the future in Baltimore.
The glass is more half-full than people initially realized, and there are reasons to be excited if you’re an Orioles fan.
