It’s a new era for the Seattle Seahawks.
They traded Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos and let go of All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner.
Eventually, Wagner signed with the defending Super Bowl champions, the Los Angeles Rams.
With these stalwarts gone, the franchise is hoping for better things ahead.
They are looking at Geno Smith or Drew Lock to lead their offense.
Rashaad Penny also showed his brilliance last season and the Seahawks would like to develop him into their star running back.
Noah Fant is a talented tight end while the duo and Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf can rip defenses apart.
On defense, they will have a chance if Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams rediscover their abilities.
Seattle is also relying on Darrell Taylor, Quinton Jefferson, and Shelby Harris to lead their charge in the trenches.
Aside from those players, they’ve retained one of their prospects for two more years.
The #Seahawks signed DT Bryan Mone to a two-year, $12 million extension that includes a $1.5 million signing bonus, per source.
An exclusive-rights player who signed his tender in April, Mone now can earn up to $13.8 million with incentives through 2024.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero tweeted, “The #Seahawks signed DT Bryan Mone to a two-year, $12 million extension that includes a $1.5 million signing bonus, per source. An exclusive-rights player who signed his tender in April, Mone now can earn up to $13.8 million with incentives through 2024.”
Mone Got The Money
Mone went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft after playing four years at the University of Michigan.
Since then, he has been a part of the Seahawks.
He has 44 total tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble in his three-year career.
Last season, he played 14 games and started in five.
It was his best year with 35 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
The Seahawks hope that he will continue to trend up in 2022 as an invaluable part of their defense.
For now, he is third on the depth chart at left defensive tackle behind Jefferson and Poona Ford.
