Every offseason in the NFL brings tough decisions for each team around the league, and this has been no different for the Seattle Seahawks this year.
Veteran special teams ace Nick Bellore has been a member of the Seahawks since the 2019 season, but that is reportedly coming to an end.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Seattle has decided to part with Bellore and he will become a free agent when the new league year begins on Wednesday.

During his time in the NFL, Bellore has lined up on the field as both a linebacker and a fullback, but the majority of his snaps in the league have come on special teams.
With Seattle in 2020, he was voted to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career, and then in 2023, he earned a spot on the NFC’s Pro Bowl roster once again.
After a sold college career at Central Michigan, Bellore was given an opportunity to compete for a roster spot in 2011 when he was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent.
He wound up spending a total of four seasons with the Jets before parting with the franchise in 2015 and signing with the San Francisco 49ers.
Bellore remained with the 49ers for two years until 2017, when he landed a gig with the Detroit Lions for the next two seasons until he eventually wound up with the Seahawks in 2019.
He’s definitely not a household name among casual NFL fans, but the fact that he has been able to remain in the league for as long as he has is quite impressive.
