The Utah Jazz just underwent a huge shake-up when they traded away Rudy Gobert after years of swearing up and down that they wouldn’t.
This came just weeks after head coach Quin Snyder stepped down from his post too, another substantial change to the organization and the future of it.
Following all of that, the team vowed that more major trades weren’t coming.
They also vowed that their lead star, Donovan Mitchell, wasn’t going anywhere.

However, NBA executives seem to think that Mitchell will in fact be available for a trade “at some point” according to the latest reports.
If that is true, it will definitely mean the Jazz are entering a rebuilding phase.
It will also mean that one other NBA team will be getting a whole lot better.
Where could Mitchell go and what would he bring?
Moving Mitchell
There has been talk of Mitchell leaving the Jazz even before the team sent away Gobert and lost Snyder.
In fact, his departure has been one of the most persistent rumors in the NBA for a few years now.
But why?
Mostly because the Jazz are always a few steps away from true greatness and always end up short in the postseason – and apparently Mitchell is tired of it.
He also wasn’t very happy playing alongside Gobert if rumors are to be believed.
But now that the big man is gone, shouldn’t Mitchell want to stay?
If he feels that the team will not be winning a lot in the near future, Mitchell will be happy to leave.
He will bring his offensive power and speed and leadership to an actual contender, like the Miami Heat perhaps.
Any team would be lucky to have him so you bet there are many sniffing around Utah right now, hoping to strike rich.

Raleigh D LEWISJR says
It is time for the Knicks to rather trade for Donovan Mitchell as long as they don’t touch RJ Barrett in the deal or Obi it is time to move forward we would be better off going for a power forward
