The Eastern Conference in the NBA looks a little different than it did a year ago, with some of the best teams in the conference making some blockbuster moves over the summer in order to take one step closer to winning a championship.
With the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks stealing all the headlines in the East, with the two heavyweights acquiring big-name players like Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, and Damian Lillard, a lot of the other teams in the conference have been overlooked ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
One team in the East that nobody seems to be talking about right now is the Orlando Magic, who are continuing with their youth movement.
With the exception of a couple of veterans like Gary Harris and Joe Ingles, the Magic are a team filled with young and unproven players with high hopes of turning things around for the franchise.
Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley recently talked about the team’s expectations heading into the 2023-24 season via SiriusXM NBA Radio.

Mosley knows this young team can’t get to the next level without taking all the necessary steps to get there, which he made clear in this interview.
Although this team has some talented young players like Franz Wagner, Markelle Fultz, Paolo Banchero, and Jalen Suggs, Orlando is expected to struggle once again next season, but it’s possible they could make some tremendous strides.
The team has improved its record every year for the past three years, with the biggest jump being last year when they won 12 games more than the previous season.
Even though 34 wins is nothing to brag about, it’s progress, and maybe this team can take another step this year.
