There has been a lot of talk about the Orlando Magic lately since they snagged number one draft pick Paolo Banchero back in June.
After watching him in college and a few Summer League games, fans are quite sure that Banchero is the real deal and could truly turn the future of the team around.
He is joining one of the youngest rosters in the entire NBA.
the Magic have 12 “young prospects” on the roster:
Paolo Banchero (19)
Caleb Houstan (19)
Franz Wagner (20)
Jalen Suggs (21)
RJ Hampton (21)
Cole Anthony (22)
Bol Bol (22)
Wendell Carter Jr. (23)

In fact, the Magic have one of the most promising young rosters in the league, featuring Banchero, Caleb Houstan, Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, RJ Hampton, Cole Anthony, and more.
That’s a lot of youth and energy but is it enough to make the team a force in the East?
Making Magic
It’s true that there are few rosters with as much youthful go-get-’em attitude as the Magic.
But it’s been that way for a while and that hasn’t really helped Orlando much.
For example, guys like Wagner, Hampton, Anthony, Wendell Carter Jr, and others were on the team last year and they still ended up at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a dismal 22-60 record.
It’s great news that more talent is coming to the team but it remains to be seen how much it’ll help.
The truth is that young talent takes time to foster and that is certainly the case for the Magic.
It might be a few more years before they are able to break out from the bottom of the standings and actually make a playoff run.
However, that doesn’t mean they won’t be fun to watch until then.
Some of the guys on the Magic roster are incredibly exciting and it’ll be a blast to see them perform – even if they’re losing.
