The Jacksonville Jaguars are resuming business as usual Thursday as they prepare for a game this Sunday against the Houston Texans.
They are doing so with Darrell Bevell serving as interim head coach.
Bevell was the offensive coordinator under Urban Meyer and it has become clear that most of the coaching staff didn’t exactly enjoy Meyer’s company.
That explains why Bevell had to stifle his laughter Thursday as a reporter ripped Meyer.
This is the first thing #Jaguars interim HC Darrell Bevell was told at his press conference today. Even reporters are dunking on Urban Meyer…pic.twitter.com/xrldiCbyNT

A reporter told Bevell he may finish with more wins as an interim head coach than Meyer did in a full-time capacity.
Did Bevell show any anger about the slight against his former boss?
No, he seemed to think it was hilarious.
The Jaguars can actually have some fun now that Meyer is gone along with all his drama.
A New Voice In Charge
Bevell was previously an interim head coach last season with the Detroit Lions and picked up one win.
So he only needs two more over the final month of the season to surpass Meyer’s total as a head coach.
Bevell also revealed that the entire coaching staff was left in the dark as to Meyer’s status until the news dropped of his firing.
Darrell Bevell confirms that Urban Meyer left the Jaguars facility after practice yesterday and never returned, leaving staff to prep without him.
Heard they were in the dark as to where he was and what was happening.

The lack of professionalism from Meyer was always apparent and Bevell is likely feeling relief about being freed of the drama.
Jaguars reporters are making jokes, but they did have a lot to talk about when Meyer was in town.
Now, it may be back to just talking about how the Jaguars are not that good without any added drama.
That may be for the best as the franchise tries to chart a new course with Trevor Lawrence leading the headlines for only good reasons.
Expect for Meyer stories to float out now that he is gone as reporters try to clear their cache of everything they gathered in such a short amount of time.
