Earlier this season, the NBA released its epic list of the best 75 players in league history.
It’s only a few months old but people are already looking ahead to the future top 100 list – including Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Speaking to the press during the All-Star Game, Morant spoke about being included on the NBA’s 100th anniversary team.

“I do plan on being on that list,” Morant said. “That’s what I’m working for.”
It is important to note that the top 100 list won’t be made until 2047.
However, Morant is definitely going to be in the running if he continues to play like he has been this year.
Morant Making Magic In Memphis
Morant is in only his third season this year and it’s one for the record books.
He is averaging 26.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.9 assists a game.
Meanwhile, his career averages are 20.6 points, 7.2 assists, and 4.4 rebounds.
Because of the hard work of Morant and his stellar teammates, the Grizzlies are doing better than they have in years.
They are currently third in the West with a record of 41-19.
Morant’s name has been in contention for the MVP trophy this year and he would be an excellent choice for that honor.
It’s rare to see a player put on such amazing performances night after night.
He plays the sort of energetic and electric basketball that not only creates viral moments but many victories.
When the NBA made its 75th anniversary list, it filled it with guys who led their teams and also entertained the crowds.
Morant is doing just that.
The young guard has been good since he entered the league but he’s taken it to a whole new level.
