The Memphis Grizzlies were one-half of an incredible game against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday afternoon.
Game 1 of the second round in the West was a nail-biter, neck-and-neck for much of the game until the very end when the Warriors pulled out a 117-116 win in Memphis.
That was obviously not the outcome the Grizzlies were hoping for but this series is a long way off from being over.
Additionally, the Grizzlies achieved an impressive milestone they should be proud of.
Ja Morant & Jaren Jackson Jr. are the 2nd duo age-22 or younger in NBA playoff history with 30 points in the same game.

On Sunday, Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. became the second duo 22 years and younger in NBA playoff history with 30 points in the same game.
Before these two Memphis stars, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder were the only ones with that honor.
Do Morant and Jackson have what it takes to turn this series around?
Warring With The Warriors
Morant and Jackson really were doing incredible work on Sunday and made the rest of their team proud.
Morant put up 34 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists – making him just one rebound shy of achieving a playoff triple-double.
Meanwhile, Jackson was right behind Morant with 33 points and 10 rebounds.
They were the two top scorers on their squad: Desmond Bane wasn’t playing like his usual self and only put up 9 while Brandon Clarke was all over the court with 12.
If the team is to win this series, everyone will need to step up and try to match Morant and Jackson’s speed and energy.
The matchup against the Warriors was always going to be a tough one for the Grizzlies.
In many ways, Golden State plays a lot like the Grizz – they’ve just been doing it longer with a lot more success.
