The Memphis Grizzlies weren’t supposed to win like that on Wednesday night.
Fans of the team were hopeful their squad would pull out a win over the Golden State Warriors since they were down 3-1 in the Western Conference semifinals.
However, fans were just hoping for any sort of win to keep the series alive.
They knew it wouldn’t be easy because the Warriors are a tough team and the Grizzlies are now without superstar, Ja Morant, for the rest of the season.
Yet, in the end, the win was easy even without Morant.
Memphis might win this game by 50 without Ja Morant.

The Grizzlies ended up routing the Warriors in a humiliating 134-95 victory.
They were destroying Golden State from the beginning and the margin of victory only got larger and larger.
In the midst of the game, Mark Haynes hopped on Twitter to predict that “Memphis might win this game by 50 without Ja Morant.”
They didn’t claim a 50-point victory but they still won in a massive way without Morant.
How are they so special when they’re lacking Morant?
Not Missing Morant
You would think the team would be in shambles without Morant.
He is such a talented, special player and is truly worthy of being MVP.
But the team has done great work without the NBA’s Most Improved Player all year.
In the regular season, the team went 20-5 without Morant, showing that they don’t need him to achieve greatness.
This is a testament to the power of this squad and the depth of the roster and the skills of the coaching staff.
But will they be able to push past the Warriors without Morant?
It remains to be seen but one thing is for sure: the Warriors won’t be this bad again.
Yet, if any team can overtake them a couple more times, it’s the Grizzlies.
