It’s safe to say that Cedric Mullins has gotten off to a fast start in his MLB career.
The Baltimore Orioles star outfielder came to the big leagues in 2018 and has played a major role in what appears to be a turnaround for the team.
The 28-year-old has won a Silver Slugger Award and earned an All-Star selection in just five short years in the Major Leagues.
2021 was his breakout season, as he hit 30 home runs with 59 RBI and had a .291 batting average.
Mullins took somewhat of a step back in 2022, hitting just 16 homers with a .258 batting average.
However, since the start of 2021, he is leading active center fielders in an elite category.

Mullins is just one of many young players who are ready to make an impact for the Orioles.
Along with Ryan Mountcastle, Austin Hays, Gunnar Henderson, and Adley Rutschman, Mullins is part of the youth movement in Baltimore.
He helped guide the O’s to an 83-win season which put them back in postseason contention for the first time since 2016.
But to lead all center fielders in WAR since the start of 2021 is quite an accomplishment.
His WAR since the start of that season in 9.5.
Also on the list are Bryan Reynolds (8.9), Brandon Nimmo (8.6), Byron Buxton (8.6), and Mike Trout (8.1).
Mullins is quickly becoming a superstar and is already one of the top young players in baseball today.
He’ll also get a chance to represent Team USA in the upcoming World Baseball Classic this spring, joining a stacked roster of stars.
