The Chicago Bears didn’t have a lot of things to be excited about this season.
Their offense was once again one of the most boring and predictable in the league during the first half, but Justin Fields and the team then took over in the final couple of months of the campaign.

So, after that turnaround, Bears OC Luke Getsy was nominated and got the nod to coach the American Team in the upcoming Senior Bowl to take place in Mobile, Alabama.
On top of that, Assistant Tight Ends Coach Tim Zetts, Linebackers Coach Dave Borgozi and Assistant Special Teasm Coach Carlos Polk, will join him in the coaching staff.
This is the first time in Senior Bowl history that a team won’t have a full coaching staff in charge of it, and instead, some top assistants will get the opportunity to serve as coaches to continue working on their crafts and their way up in the league.
Likewise, this game will give plenty of not-so-highly-touted prospects an ultimate chance to impress the NFL coaching staff in real-game situations and during practice, a golden opportunity that not even the Pro Day or the NFL Draft Combine could grant them.
The Chicago Bears currently hold the rights to the first-overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and while they won’t be using that pick on any of the players that’ll take place in the Senior Bowl, there’s no reason to think they couldn’t be impressed by some of these prospects ahead of the Draft.
