Ever since the Chicago Bears landed the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, rumors have swirled around about the fate of quarterback Justin Fields.
Each day they hold on to the pick, people start feeling the Bears will draft a quarterback.
However, an NFL insider is telling people the Bears are looking to trade out of the first overall pick position.
In a tweet by Dov Kleiman, he reports how Albert Breer has information on this trade the Bears want to set up.
The #Bears have decided to go ahead with Justin Fields as the franchise QB and will try to trade the 1st overall pick in the draft instead of drafting a quarterback prospect, according to @AlbertBreer

With the team picking Fields as their franchise quarterback, they now can field calls for a trade partner.
Kleiman’s tweet notes how the Bears were “impressed” with the young quarterback in 2022.
While the season didn’t produce many wins, their quarterback was a star when running the ball.
His season saw him rushing for 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns.
Those numbers were an enormous boost for the offense, as he kept the team in most of the games he played.
However, without a solid core of receivers, or a defensive front, those points weren’t enough to win games.
While he did his best, the team around him let him down in some games.
Because of this, the Bears are entrusting him with their offense.
By doing this, the Bears can now trade back and get Fields the weapons he needs to win games.
The weakest spots on offense come from the guard position and wide receiving corps.
If they can upgrade these positions, and rebuild their defensive front seven, Fields can help prove himself as a franchise quarterback.
