They may not admit it, but the Seattle Seahawks are in rebuild mode.
It’s difficult to see them competing after releasing linebacker Bobby Wagner and trading quarterback Russell Wilson.
Both of those players will continue their careers with the Los Angeles Rams and Denver Broncos, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks faithful will pin their hopes on quarterbacks Geno Smith and Drew Lock.
They hope that any of those play-callers will help bring back the team’s glory days.
For the old days to return, they must give Rashaad Penny enough carries while locating D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett downfield.
Tight end Noah Fant could also be a fantastic addition to their roster.
But if the Seahawks are to make their way back to the NFC playoffs, they must deal with a lot of traveling during the season.

FOX Sports NFL shared that the Seahawks have the most miles to cover in the upcoming season with 29,446.
Ironically, Wilson’s Broncos are second with 27,398 miles while the Jacksonville Jaguars are third with 25,234 miles.
The Miami Dolphins (25,178 miles) and the New Orleans Saints (24,976 miles) complete the top five.
Why The Long Journey For The Seahawks?
It doesn’t help that Washington state’s location is on the upper left side of the mainland United States.
A glance at the map shows that it’s just far away from several places.
They have traveled the most among all NFL teams when the miles add up.
Their visits include games in San Francisco (roughly 800 miles away) and Los Angeles (around 1,160 miles away).
They will also visit the Detroit Lions (approximately 2,350 miles away) and New Orleans (around 2,640 miles).
The Seahawks will also make visits to Arizona (around 1,415 miles) and Kansas City (1,833 miles).
It remains to be seen if the long travel will have an effect on their performance.
