While the NFL is only in Week 13, it appears the Chicago Bears might wave the white flag during this season.
After their disastrous loss to the New York Jets, the Bears have every reason to surrender the season.
So what is happening in Chicago which makes waving the white flag an option?
The Bears Have Too Many Injuries To Star Players To Risk Returning Them This Season
It’s hard to win games in the NFL when you are missing one star player.
However, the Bears are missing several key players after their Week 12 loss to the Jets.
the Bears were without Justin Fields already and lost two of their four best players in Eddie Jackson and Darnell Mooney this weekend
at this point, idk how worth it it is to get Fields back in the lineup

With Justin Fields, Eddie Jackson, and Darnell Mooney all injured, the Bears season is practically done.
While Fields could return, it makes no sense to bring him back with all the other injuries on the team’s roster.
Another issue is the Bears current record, which is 3-9.
Their record puts them virtually out of the playoff race.
With them having no hope of reaching the NFL playoffs, it’s best to let their best players rest for next season.
While fans want the Bears to continue fighting in games, they shouldn’t fight with their remaining star players.
The potential for season-ending injuries is too much of a risk for the Bears to continue playing their best players.
With these star players already out, it gives other players a chance to develop.
If the Bears see this, that white flag will fly high on their 2022 season.
While it’s not the outcome that the Bears and their fans want, it’s the smartest plan for their franchise.
