The Philadelphia Phillies are hosting the Atlanta Braves in a battle of NL East foes in the postseason.
The setting is exciting: Game 3 of the NL Division Series between the reigning World Series champions and a team with a loyal fan base that hadn’t played a home postseason game since 2011.
In fact, you can see Philadelphia fans are more than eager to make a difference.
“There’s a sea of red in Philadelphia. The Phillies are +110 in game 3 against the Braves,” Playmaker Betting tweeted with a video that will give you goosebumps.

If you love baseball, this video is for you.
That’s a hungry crowd right there: they are hungry for success, which they haven’t seen since 2008 if we count the last time the Phillies won the Fall Classic.
They lost it next year, and had a couple of additional playoff appearances in 2010 and 2011.
Philadelphia Fans Missed The Postseason Badly
Since then, the Phillies entered an extended rut in which they didn’t make it into October…until 2022.
Philadelphia, if we evaluate all facets of the game, is probably not as good as Atlanta.
However, that doesn’t mean they can’t win a best-of-five playoff series against them.
It is, essentially, a best-of-three matchup at the moment since they are 1-1 after two games.
The Phillies have the bats to do damage, with Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins, NL-home run leader Kyle Schwarber, J.T. Realmuto, Jean Segura, Alec Bohm and more.
And they are playing behind their best starter, right-hander Aaron Nola.
Long story short, the Phillies have a golden opportunity to take a 2-1 lead to Sunday.
Are they capable of pulling off the upset and knocking out the champs?
