We’ve got some terrible news for the rest of the NBA: The Golden State Warriors are getting hot in March again.
Steve Kerr’s team has now won four games in a row, capping this streak off with an impressive home win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
More importantly, the team is doing all this without Stephen Curry, who’s been out of the lineup with an injury and could be back on the floor on Sunday when they face the Los Angeles Lakers.
Needless to say, plenty of that success has come from Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson taking their game up a notch in Curry’s absence.
Thompson even logged his first double-double of the season in the win.
When asked about his proficient night on the boards, Thompson explained that he’s made it a point of emphasis to continue rounding his game up, so it wasn’t much of a surprise to him:
“It’s something I’m gonna continue to emphasize, so; hopefully, I’ll continue to have some bit rebounding nights,” Thompson said. “I think I talked about it previously— about rounding up my whole game, and tonight was an example of that.”

Notably, Thompson has never been known for being a dominant rebounder, and not many players continue to add strengths to their arsenal at age 33.
But Thompson has always been a gym rat and a guy that’s obsessed with basketball and getting better, so this doesn’t strike as a big shocker.
Klay needs to find ways to continue being a steady contributor to this team going forward and improving as a rebounder would most definitely help them make great strides.
So, yeah, you better not count this team out just yet.
You know they’ll be at their best come playoff time.
