The Los Angeles Clippers came close but they weren’t able to take the Denver Nuggets down on Sunday night.
The Nuggets emerged with a 134-124 victory in overtime after a wild and exciting game that showed both teams fighting as hard as they could.
It’s hard to beat the Nuggets when Nikola Jokic is scoring 40 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Still, multiple players on the Clippers’ roster were trying their hardest, including Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook, who has been with the Clippers for two games now, scored 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and had 5 steals.
Additionally, he only had two turnovers during the game, which is impressive since that is usually a weak spot for him.
He was shooting 60% from the field and 50% from the three-point line.
He did all of this in just 25 minutes on the floor.
The sample size is incredibly small but Westbrook has been doing pretty well since switching from the Lakers to the Clippers.
Ironically, he has scored 17 points in both of his games.
This has many fans believing that maybe he will flourish with his new team.
However, even with Westbrook playing well, the Clippers have still lost both games with him on the roster.
This goes to show that the team isn’t yet where they want it to be.
Head coach Ty Lue is still figuring out how he wants his team to work and claims that the surplus of talent makes it hard for him to select the right lineup.
That was clear on Sunday when he decided to bench Westbrook during overtime even though the former All-Star was hot all night long.
Perhaps he will get even more minutes in the weeks ahead after a couple of rough losses.
