The NFL Draft hasn’t started, but the Chicago Bears have been on the clock — and on the phone — for quite a while now.
They have the No. 1 pick, and most people expect them to use it to get Caleb Williams out of USC.
That means Justin Fields is no longer in play as the starter, and he should be on the trade block.
Unfortunately for him and the Bears, there’s reportedly not much of a market for him right now.
The Bears might not be able to get the return they desired for the former first-round pick, as it doesn’t seem like he’s going to be a starter anywhere else.
Instead, NFL insider Benjamin Allbright reveals that Fields could land with either the Indianapolis Colts or Philadelphia Eagles as a backup.
Wouldn't be surprised if Justin Fields winds up as a backup with the Colts or Eagles.
Several teams that were being reported were never in play, and the market has been incredibly thin on him as the Bears have shopped him for a few weeks.

Needless to say, the chances of playing behind either Anthony Richardson or Jalen Hurts would be quite slim, barring injury.
Fields is a talented young player, but the situation is quite complicated.
Injury concerns aside, whichever team agrees to trade for him would essentially have to make a big financial decision about him.
He could be eligible for a very lucrative contract extension after the season, and that could scare multiple teams away.
He’s shown glimpses of great play and is quite a talented dual-threat quarterback, and one could make a case for the Bears being to blame for his struggles.
But the National Football League is a cruel business, and the doors continue to close on his opportunities.
