The Los Angeles Clippers chose the absolute worst possible time to slide in the standings.
They’ve lost four of their last six, with their only two wins coming against the bottom-feeding Portland Trail Blazers.
That includes back-to-back tough losses in cross-conference matchups they should’ve won.
First, they let the Philadelphia 76ers dominate them late in the fourth quarter.
Then, they couldn’t keep up with the Indiana Pacers, even though they were on the back end of a back-to-back game.
That’s why, following another disappointing outing, coach Tyronn Lue was ruthless when talking about his team.
The former NBA champion coach stated that the Clippers are ‘soft’ (Via The Sporting Tribune and Legion Hoops).

Fortunately for them, they got some much-needed toughness back, as Russell Westbrook made his return from a fractured hand.
Even so, that wasn’t enough for the team to keep it’s foot on the gas and get the job done.
As things stand now, the Clippers are sitting in the fourth spot in the Western Conference.
Not so long ago, they were the hottest team in the league, and they proved that they could go toe-to-toe with every single opponent.
They still have a stacked and talented roster with two former MVPs and four future Hall of Famers, and coach Lue is one of the best tacticians in the game, so people shouldn’t sleep on them.
Still, we only have a handful of games left in the regular season, and you don’t want to get to the playoffs in the midst of a slump.
