Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue has had a tough season, in more ways than one.
His team has suffered multiple injuries, setbacks, and hard competition while currently being the fifth team in the West.
Meanwhile, his family has gone through a very painful period too.
Speaking to The Pivot podcast, Lue said that he has lost seven family members since December.
Yet, because of his job and the up-and-down record of his team, Lue hasn’t gone back for any of those funerals.

That’s a startling admission from Lue and it shows just how committed he is to his team and the game itself.
This is Lue’s second head coaching position, after leading the Cleveland Cavaliers for several years and leading them to a championship in the 2015-16 season.
He served as an assistant coach for one season for the Clippers before getting the big job, where he has been for the last three years.
So far this season, his team is 39-36.
There is a lot riding on their success.
In fact, if the Clippers don’t end up having a good postseason run, there is a strong chance that the team will look very different next season.
Lue may be coaching his final games with the team if they don’t surge into the playoffs and make some serious noise.
He is clearly a very committed coach but the team has consistently had problems and has never reached its true potential with him at the helm.
That means that no matter how much commitment Lue has, his job is still on the line.
