Ty Lue, head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, doesn’t always get the respect he deserves.
He has led a team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, to an NBA championship back in 2016.
And now he is in charge of the Clippers, who are always on the verge of making it far in the postseason, even without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
But perhaps the best part of all this success for Lue is the revenge he’s gotten against the Lakers.

Back in 2019, the Lakers offered Lue the head coach position but refused to give him a longer contract.
Eventually, the job went to current HC Frank Vogel.
But now Lue’s Clippers have figured out how to beat the Lakers because they are 7-0 against them.
Lakers For Lue
He is certainly very happy with his job right now, even though the Clippers have been experiencing injury issues that are holding them back from their true greatness.
Ironically, the Lakers have once again taken notice of Lue and his coaching skills.
Throughout the season, there were been rumors that the Lakers were looking to fire Vogel if the season doesn’t turn around.
As we all know, the season hasn’t turned around and likely won’t, which means Vogel’s job is very much on the line.
And one of the possible replacements being floated around for Vogel is none other than Lue.
According to some reports, Lue and Mavericks coach Jason Kidd are the top prospects that the Lakers’ front office wants if and when they let go of Vogel.
If the team eventually offers the position to Lue, you better believe they will offer him a much better deal than they did a few years ago.
