Let’s be honest for a second here: No one wants NFL games for punters.
In fact, those punt fests only exasperate fans, and they often wind up just switching the channel to watch something else.
However, if you know football, you know that punting and special teams are key to the game, which is why they also deserve their flowers, credit, and recognition.
That’s why NFL fans on Twitter were shocked to see that Tennessee Titans P Ryan Stonehouse was snubbed from the Pro Bowl.
The rookie punter is coming off a season for the ages, even breaking the league’s oldest record by averaging the longest yards per punt average (53.1) in the regular season.
The previous mark had been around since 1940 when legendary punter Sammy Baugh averaged 51.4 yards per punt.
Needless to say, even Stonehouse was shocked after not being invited to the event, taking to Twitter to voice out his frustration and letting the league know that they just fueled his fire ahead of next season.
Why do y’all give me more fuel

Notably, Stonehouse’s services were required early and often throughout the whole campaign, as Ryan Tannehill failed to do the Titans any favors and move the chains up and down the field.
Now, the Titans enter the offseason with several questions about their QB position, with Malik Willis waiting in line and some rumors about them trading for another young gunslinger like Trey Lance or Zach Wilson.
Whatever the case, Stonehouse might be in for another heavy workload in 2023, so don’t be shocked to see him get his first Pro Bowl nod at this time next year.
