The Tennessee Titans have been having a decent season.
They currently have a 7-5 record on the season and are in first place in the AFC South.
If everything ends well for the Titans, they will reach the playoffs again.
For the last couple of years, the Titans have been a fairly strong power in the AFC South, winning the last two and making the playoffs in four of the last five seasons.
The one season they did not make it, they were 9-7.
Tennessee have not had a season where they finished under .500 since 2015.
That puts them in a fairly exclusive club.
Only two teams have finished over .500 in each of the last 6 seasons

The Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs are the only two teams to end the last six seasons with a record of at least .500.
But is this surprising?
Stability In Tennessee
To have a constantly well-performing team, you need to be stable.
Kansas City has had this stability.
For the last six seasons, they have had the same coach in Andy Reid.
They have also only had two quarterbacks, with Alex Smith starting this streak, and Patrick Mahomes picking it up and taking the Chiefs to new places, like the Super Bowl.
Things are different with the Titans.
Unlike the Chiefs, they have had two coaches in this period, with Mike Vrabel coaching for the majority of this period.
They have also had a few quarterbacks in this period.
But maybe is it not about the personnel, and the secret to performing well may be due to who you play.
Tennessee is in the AFC South, so they have to face the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans each two times a season.
Each of those teams has had, or is currently in, periods of a massive struggle.
Tennessee playing these teams twice a year means 3-6 guaranteed wins a year, and six wins is more than halfway there to a winning record.
