The Philadelphia Phillies are set to appear in their first World Series since 2009.
Game 1 takes place tonight at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
The Phillies will send Aaron Nola to the mound to try and gain an early series edge over the Houston Astros.
But as the World Series gets underway, it’s important to remember that the Phillies have overcome incredible odds.
They barely snuck into the postseason as the third NL Wild Card, trounced the St. Louis Cardinals, and did the same to the Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres.
On Twitter, the Phillies shared a hype video to get their fans ready for the World Series.

How The Phillies Got Here
The Phillies crashed the party in St. Louis, sweeping the Cardinals and putting an end to their magical run which featured a long farewell tour for Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina.
They then unseated the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves in the NLDS before facing another underdog in the NLCS, that being the San Diego Padres.
They overcame some tough competition and silenced a group of Padres fans who had their own Philly diss track.
Now, they face their toughest competition yet in the Astros.
Houston is appearing in their fourth World Series since 2017 and will be heavily favored.
But that isn’t a problem for the Phillies.
This is a team that has overcome incredible odds to get to this point.
As the narrator of the video said, 13 wins is down to four.
Just four more wins, and the Phillies will capture their first title since 2008.
