The playoff field is set.
All that’s left now is to determine matchups and seeding, but all 12 teams have clinched their spot in the postseason.
With a 3-0 win over the Houston Astros, the Philadelphia Phillies punched their ticket to the postseason for the first time since 2011.
It was win No. 87 for the Phils, and it ended the longest active postseason drought next to the Seattle Mariners.
Now, the Phillies will battle it out with the San Diego Padres to determine who will be the second NL Wild Card.
The Phils will match up with either the St. Louis Cardinals or whoever is the runner up in the NL East between the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves.

Phils Return To October
It’s been a long time coming for the Phillies and their fans.
After going on a run of five consecutive NL East titles which included two NL pennants and a World Series ring, the Phils fell on hard times.
Nobody knew it at the time, but when Chris Carpenter completed his shutout in Game 5 of the NLDS in 2011, that would be the last time the Phillies would see October for the next 10 years.
Now, the wait is over, and they may match up against the very same Cardinals that knocked them out all those years ago.
The Phils own the tiebreaker over the Padres, so if the two teams finish tied, then the Phillies will earn the No. 5 seed in the National League and the Padres will head to St. Louis.
Either way, the postseason field is set.
All 12 teams have punched their ticket to the big dance, and the Phillies have a chance to win their first ring since 2008.
