With the regular season drawing to a close and the postseason approaching fast, now is a time for several teams who will not be one of the 12 heading to October baseball to reflect on the season and unpack everything that came along with it.
The Chicago Cubs are one of those teams that will not be playing October baseball.
But one thing about the Cubs is that no matter how bad they may be, their fans remain loyal to them and embrace them as “The Lovable Losers.”
It’s one of many reasons why Wrigley Field is called “The Friendly Confines.”
This morning, the Cubs released a video thanking their fans for another fun year at the ballpark as they prepare to open up their final home series of the season.

Cubs Thank Their Fans
Did anybody else get chills?
Even when the Cubs are well out of the postseason race, their fans remain loyal and continue to file into Wrigley Field to support their Cubbies.
This video showed a drone flyover near Wrigley Field and what goes on behind the scenes before, during, and after Cubs games.
So while the 2022 season didn’t go according to plan, the Cubs have shown that they’re still grateful for the energy their fans bring on a daily basis.
Fans in Chicago still love to support the Cubs and enjoy attending games, especially those on Friday afternoons.
It’s certainly been a long season on the North Side of Chicago, and an unsuccessful one at that, but it doesn’t change the appreciation that the Cubs have for their loyal fans, who show up rain or shine, win or lose.
There’s always next year, as fans like to say.
