The Chicago Cubs are an interesting team heading into the 2024 season.
Not many people know what to expect from them.
So far this offseason they have not made many moves to improve their team.
But, the moves they have made have been interesting.
The first significant move they made came off the field when they hired a new manager.
The Cubs chose to move off David Ross for Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell.
As for on-the-field moves, the Cubs have a lot of work to do.
They signed Shoto Imanaga from Japan to help out with their starting rotation.
But, they are also set to lose some of their better players from the 2023 season.
Marcus Stroman signed with the Yankees, and it appears Cody Bellinger may not be going back to Chicago.
Still Cubs Assistant GM Jared Banner said the team is still looking for ways to improve.
According to MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM, Banner said, “We’re definitely not done.”

Recently, the Cubs traded for Michael Busch and Yency Almonte from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
That is a depth move if nothing else.
One thing going for the Cubs is that the NL Central has no dominant team.
The Cubs certainly could win the division next year and find themselves back in the playoffs.
Last season, the Cubs had a surprisingly good year.
They finished with 83 wins and are now hoping to make the playoffs in 2024.
It will be interesting to see what moves the Cubs make to improve.
