MLB free agency continues to be an area where the Chicago Cubs are searching for talent going into 2023.
After signing former New York Yankees pitcher Jameson Taillon, the team continues to search for more talent.
However, the Cubs are keeping a close eye on one top MLB superstar in hopes to land him.
But can the Cubs land this star, and who is it that the team is eyeing going into 2023?

Correa, who spent most of his MLB time with the Houston Astros, is a solid bat for the Cubs offense.
His career batting average of .279 is a solid representation of the 28-year-old star shortstop.
However, his bat isn’t the only thing the Cubs will get if they sign Correa.
During the 2021 season, he won several awards for his fielding prowess.
Those awards include the Gold Glove Award and the Platinum Glove Award.
With him being stellar on both sides, he’d be a no-brainer for the Cubs to get.
However, several other teams are also interested in acquiring the services of Correa.
With the competition for his services, the Cubs might pass on him.
While this option isn’t what fans want, it’s something they are accustomed to with the Ricketts family running the team.
Fans see ownership as the people who don’t want top-tier players if they cost too much.
However, with the team already adding Taillon, it might be a different story for the Cubs for 2023.
