The Seattle Mariners and their rookie sensation Julio Rodriguez have agreed to a massive new deal.
The deal can be up to more than 14 years and guarantee Rodriguez $400 million.
This means that Rodriguez is going to be locked up in Seattle long-term.
It’s clear that the Mariners see him as more than just a building block for the future.
They see him as the man to carry the torch for many years to come.
One Mariners insider pointed out an interesting and celebratory fact, at least if you’re a Mariners fan, that he won’t be leaving to go play for the New York Yankees anytime soon.
It looks like Rodriguez is going to be staying in Seattle long-term.
Cheers to never having to watch Julio Rodríguez play in pinstripes during his prime 🍻
