Hispanic Heritage Month has started, and MLB is celebrating the contributions of the Latino culture.
Throughout the years, Latino players have had a lot of influence on their teams, but also on the clubhouse culture.
They have a unique way of playing the game, with swagger and flair, that most fans love.
When it comes to swagger, flair, and skills, there are few people in baseball as good as Seattle Mariners center fielder Julio Rodriguez.
The 2022 AL Rookie of the Year, J-Rod is having another amazing season and is trying to get his Mariners into the postseason.
For now, he keeps getting awards for his 2022 performance.
“More honors for Juliooooo! @JRODshow44 was recognized as the 2022 Latino MVP award winner by the Latino Sports Writers and Broadcasters Association before yesterday’s game. #HispanicHeritageMonth,” the team tweeted.

The Latino Sports Writers and Broadcasters Association believed that among the many excellent performances by Latino players last season, Rodriguez’s was the best.
They presented him with the award, another one in his still very young career.
J-Rod posted an .853 OPS last season, with 28 homers and 25 stolen bases.
This year, he has been even better with a .842 OPS, 30 round-trippers, and 36 thefts.
There isn’t a single thing that Rodriguez can’t do on a baseball field.
He can hit for average, power, steal bases, cover a lot of ground in center field, and is the leader of his team at 22 years old.
As hard to believe as it may sound, we haven’t seen the best of Rodriguez yet.
