Over the past few months, USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams has been highly regarded as one of the most promising players coming out of the college game since the likes of Andrew Luck, who went on to have a stellar career with the Indianapolis Colts before retiring prematurely.
Obviously, with this kind of hype, it’s easy to fail to live up to expectations, especially if Williams ends up on a team that fails to put enough talent around him and puts him in a position to succeed sooner rather than later.
As of right now, all signs point to Williams ending up with the Chicago Bears, with the storied franchise owning the No. 1 overall pick for a second straight season and deciding to move on from quarterback Justin Fields to pave the way for the former Trojans superstar.
Even though Williams has been the talk of the NFL ever since the Super Bowl came to an end, it was uncertain what the Bears would do at No. 1; Nick Wright of FOX Sports believes there’s not enough hype around the young quarterback with the 2024 NFL Draft right around the corner on April 25 via First Things First.
“Somehow, the Caleb Williams hype is too low,” Wright said.

Wright believes that the USC product isn’t getting enough hype as he believes this incoming rookie is the real deal.
Although there are a lot of indications that Williams will be a bonafide star right out of the gate like C.J. Stroud was for the Houston Texans last season, it remains to be seen whether that will be the case, so the hype might be at the right level with a few weeks to go before draft day.
