Who wouldn’t want to have Chicago Bears outside linebacker Roquan Smith?
Now that he has asked for a trade from the Bears, he will be an asset to any team that will get him.
He has been a Second-Team All-Pro in 2020 and 2021 after finishing with 98 and 95 solo tackles, respectively.
Smith also has 17 interceptions and 14 sacks in four seasons with the Bears.
Though he will be playing under the fifth-year option worth $9.7 million, he still wants out of Chicago.
That said, CBS Sports writer Tyler Sullivan revealed the likeliest destinations for the former Georgia standout.

Sullivan first mentioned the Dallas Cowboys because he could be the replacement for Leighton Vander Esch.
The Cowboys aren’t giving their long-term commitment to Vander Esch and Smith could easily take his spot.
Likewise, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is known for making financial splurges, making them a strong bidder.
The Miami Dolphins are also a possible candidate because Smith fits a defense with Christian Wilkins, Jevon Holland, Xavien Howard, and Byron Jones.
Bill Belichick could also trade for Smith given the New England Patriots’ shallow depth at middle linebacker.
Ja’Whaun Bentley, Jahlani Tavai, and Cameron McGrone aren’t necessarily the players that will create much of an impact in that position.
Top Two Teams For Smith
The Denver Broncos could use some help at inside linebacker which is one of their roster’s weak spots.
Alexander Johnson isn’t returning to the Broncos, making Josey Jewell and Jonas Griffith their other options.
Having him with Bradley Chubb and Randy Gregory presents a great dynamic for the Broncos.
Finally, the Baltimore Ravens are the top team on Sullivan’s list because Josh Bynes is their top option as the middle linebacker.
They could certainly use an upgrade in that spot and Smith would be a fantastic option.
