Seattle Mariners rookie Julio Rodriguez is already endearing himself to the fans in Seattle.

The Mariners had their opening series at T-Mobile Park over the weekend and won two out of three against the defending American League champion Houston Astros.

They are now 5-5 and sit just a game behind the AL West division-leading Los Angeles Angels.

But more importantly, Rodriguez appeared to enjoy every second of playing at home in Seattle over the weekend.

The Mariners’ rookie took to Twitter late last night to praise Mariners fans and express his joy about playing in front of them and his excitement to do so more often as the season goes on.

Mariners fans, I loved playing in front of you all for the first time! 💙 I’m looking forward to see you all every home game!🤞🏽 #SeaUsRise #Electric⚡️

Becoming A Fan Favorite

Mariners fans have to love this.

This guy has been in the big leagues for all of two weeks, yet he already senses something special going on in Seattle and loves playing in front of the fans.

It feels good for any fanbase to be appreciated like that, especially on Twitter.

But Rodriguez knows that the goals in Seattle are big after signing Robbie Ray and trading for Adam Frazier, Jesse Winker, and Eugenio Suarez, and he wants to be a part of this team’s success for years to come.

It’s nice for a player to show such appreciation to their fans and be excited to play in front of them.

That shows that the player is endearing himself to the fans and motivated to play in front of them and show them what he can do.

Rodriguez certainly has a bright future, and he can’t wait to get it going.

He’s ready to show Mariners fans that he is every bit as good as advertised.
