Fans of the Chicago Bears haven’t seen the type of passing offense they want from quarterback Justin Fields.
However, the young quarterback is on the verge of making NFL history.
While some feel the history might be negative, given his poor passing numbers to start the season, he’s actually about to break a good historical record.
With one week left in the NFL regular season, what history is Fields about to make?
Fields Is Close To Breaking A Record
With one game remaining, Fields can break the single-season rushing record by a quarterback in Week 18.
Justin Fields has 1,143 rushing yards on the season.
He is 64 yards away from breaking the all time record for Rushing yards in a season by a QB, currently held by Lamar Jackson with 1,206
I seriously don’t care what anybody else thinks… I want him to own the record! 🙌🏾

His 1,143 rushing yards for the season puts him 64 yards away from breaking the current record held by Lamar Jackson.
While the Bears have seen little good from their season, this record can bring a boost to the team.
However, it also puts Fields at risk, as anything can happen during their game against the Minnesota Vikings.
This puts fans on two different sides with their star quarterback.
The one side wants to see their quarterback break this record on Sunday against the Vikings.
But the other segment of fans want the Bears to bench Fields and let him rest.
They feel this is best because they don’t want to see him getting injured over a record.
However, playing Fields gives him some valuable game experience, despite having a losing season.
But if he plays, fans will voice their concerns with him playing a meaningless game.
To them, his health is a better concern than him getting experience or an NFL record.
