Julio Rodriguez had himself quite the coming out party in 2022.
Rodriguez forced his way onto the Seattle Mariners‘ Opening Day roster and took the center field job for his own.
At the plate, Rodriguez did not disappoint, hitting .284 with 28 home runs and 75 RBI.
With the Rookie of the Year Award winners set to be revealed tonight, now is a good time to look back on each player in the running’s odds at the beginning of the year and compare them to what the odds are now.
Rodriguez, to nobody’s surprise, has seen his odds skyrocket, going from +900 on Opening Day to -10000 at season’s end.

J-Rod’s ROY Case
Also in the running with Rodriguez are Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman and Cleveland Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan.
Rodriguez is obviously the favorite to take home the award.
Though he’ll have stiff competition from his fellow Rookie of the Year candidates, Rodriguez appears to have the best odds to win the award, which will be revealed tonight for both leagues.
Rodriguez also tallied a total of 145 hits in 511 at-bats, hit 25 doubles, three triples, and registered 260 total bases during the regular season.
Rodriguez was an All-Star and won a Silver Slugger Award in 2022.
Rodriguez’s emergence helped the Mariners overcome tremendous odds and break the longest active postseason drought of any team in baseball.
Seattle won 90 games and earned a Wild Card, reaching the postseason for the first time since 2001.
The winners of the Rookie of the Year Awards will be announced on MLB Network tonight.
