Baseball video games are not only a great way for adults to fantasize about owning a franchise or starting a career with a hotshot prospect.
They also represent an exciting tool for MLB to captivate the younger audiences.
That’s how much of us fell in love with baseball in the first place.
Few games are better than MLB The Show.
Its relevance goes beyond the US borders: lots of kids and adults play it in other countries, too.
That’s why players who make the cover gain international fame: it’s always cool to see their picture on the cover of such a widely spread video game.
The folks at MLB on FOX recently conducted a vote to know where fans are when it comes to their preferred cover athlete.
Lots of players got votes, but the results weren’t really shocking considering the year the winner just had.
“THE VOTES ARE IN. MLB on FOX fans believe Julio Rodriguez should be on the cover of MLB The Show 23,” they tweeted.
They actually have a cover design of the Seattle Mariners star ready to tweet.

Boy, that would be a cool cover, wouldn’t it?
It would be excellent if the “J-Rod Show” took over the cover of MLB The Show.
If the 81 home runs he hit in the Derby are not enough, perhaps you were captivated by his amazing talent to play baseball, and how he led the charge and helped break a 21-year old playoff drought in Seattle.
He won the Rookie of the Year award this past season and signed a huge contract.
Life is great for the young phenom.
He would make for an excellent choice for cover athlete.
